On April 9th, Berkshire's Chess team participated in the BCPS Chess Championship. Competing against 18 elementary schools from across the county, Berkshire performed fantastically, placing in the top half of schools with each player earning at least 2 wins. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Jones in her nomination for BCPS Teacher of the Year!! Ms. Jones has been molding young minds at Berkshire for 8 years.
Her unwavering dedication to her students and strong passion for teaching made her an easy choice for Berkshire’s nomination. In addition, over the past 2 years, her students have made significant academic gains. She volunteers her time to run an afterschool homework club for students. She attends as many school events as possible to support her students, their parents, and the community. We are grateful to have her as a teacher at Berkshire!
In her spare time she enjoys singing, building Legos, watching Steven University, playing Sims 4 and is an avid collector of giraffes.
Congratulations to Krissa Hoskins and Masah Farh, our Berkshire Spelling Bee Champions! They will represent Berkshire at the Baltimore Spelling Bee on March 19th at Roland Park Country School.
EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!! Berkshire has a newspaper - designed, created, and produced by students with the help of Ms. Leppert as club moderator. Check out the first issue HERE!

Our mission is to provide a quality education through shared responsibility in a safe supportive environment for all students to meet the challenges of a global society.
We are “Committed to Excellence”, and we work hard to make the site a primary source for timely information for all users, and a main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community.
Embarking on a new school year causes each of us to reflect upon the past and recall the reasons why we have chosen to dedicate our lives to this profession. As in the past, we continue to reflect to seek ways to support the Baltimore County Public School system’s goals that include:
- To improve achievement for all students;
- To maintain a safe and orderly learning environment; and
- To use resources effectively and efficiently.
We believe all students will learn and achieve. Improving student achievement is our priority and requires effective teachers, an effective principal and assistant principal, a standard curriculum, and shared accountability. With these energizing thoughts, the administration and staff look forward to working with you and ensuring that your child enjoys a positive and productive school year.
